ScopeEbay Privacy Policy

ScopeEbay ("the extension") is an eBay market-research tool published by ZevGeeks. It is not affiliated with eBay Inc. This policy describes what data the extension and its backend service (api.zevgeeks.com) handle.

Data we collect

• Email address — only if you create an account. Used solely to send your magic sign-in link and identify your subscription. Sign-in emails are delivered via Resend.
• Subscription status — payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer id and subscription tier. Your card details never reach our servers.
• Public eBay listing data — the extension reads publicly visible eBay pages (sold results, listings, seller profiles) to compute statistics. If you are signed in, derived summaries (e.g. a tracked seller's weekly sold counts and top products) are stored against your account so tracking and shared scan caching work.
• Parser diagnostics — if an eBay page fails to parse, the extension reports the page type, parser version, marketplace and an anonymised structural fingerprint of the failing element (HTML tag/class structure only — all text is stripped before sending). No personal data or page text is included, and reporting is opt-in.

Data we do not collect

• No browsing history — the extension only activates on eBay pages you visit.
• No passwords or eBay credentials — sign-in is by emailed magic link; eBay pages are read using your existing browser session, which we never see credentials for.
• No buyer identities, no keystrokes, no data from non-eBay websites.

Local storage

The extension caches scan results and settings in your browser's extension storage (typically for up to 6 hours) to avoid repeat requests. This data stays on your device and is cleared when you remove the extension.

How data is used

Exclusively to provide the extension's single purpose: eBay competitor and market analysis. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it for creditworthiness or lending purposes.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while your account is active. Email adnanahmedkalyar1@gmail.com to request deletion of your account and associated data. Payment records are retained by Stripe per their own policy.

Security

All traffic between the extension and our backend uses TLS. Sessions use signed tokens. Access to production data is restricted to the operator.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
